BYS and Austin FC
Volunteer your time and be a part of the biggest fundraiser in the HISTORY of Balcones Youth Sports.
What is this Fundraiser?
Through a strategic partnership with Austin FC and Levy Restaurants, Balcones Youth Sports will be running a concession stand (the Oak Hill Grill) at the Q2 Stadium. Aside from the standard concession foods (popcorn, M&M's, Skittles, and Peanuts), we also serve chicken tenders, hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, and french fries. All of these are prepared fresh onsite by staff from Levy and we simply have to take the orders and serve the food. We also serve sodas, bottled water and bottled beer. There is no draught beer and no cash. Everything is done through a computer Point of Sale and we average 38 seconds from the time an order is taken until the time they are walking off with their food.
What would I be doing and how long would I be there?
As a volunteer, you will be at the game well before it starts until slightly after the game. Gates open an hour and a half (90 minutes) before kickoff and we have to be onsite at the stand at least 1 hour prior to that. Parking and valet shuttle service via limousine bus service is provided. So, for a game starting at 7PM, you could expect to be at the parking garage at 4pm and be back in your car headed home by 9:45.
How much money is this raising for BYS?
Each game is different, but on average BYS can expect to receive between $2,000 and $3,000 PER GAME!! There are a total of 21 games for the season and we need to have at least 8 volunteers per game (10 is ideal). We would love for you to help on at least 3 games throughout the season, but would welcome you to as many as you like.
